The Wheeler Agency nominated local volunteer, Pastor Dale Tompkins of Church on the Way, for the Safeco Insurance Community Hero Award for his work organizing teams of volunteers during Tropical Storm Debby. Dale was one of 15 people to be recognized for this national award. In Safeco’s online voting contest, during the month of October, Dale finished with the 4th most votes of the fifteen community heroes.
