Happy Father’s Day
We want to wish all dads a very happy Father’s Day. Today, we are sharing a picture of our official “office dad”, Ed Wheeler, who started our insurance agency 47 years ago. If you know him, you know he is top notch. He is loyal, trustworthy, helpful, friendly, courteous, kind and almost always cheerful. Now that he is retired, we see him mostly for special events, but that is OK. He stays busy fishing and farming. Happy Fathers Day!
First Responder Training
Good things are happening at Florida Gateway College. The new First Responder Training Facility was dedicated today at the Olustee campus. High quality fire training helps keep homeowner premiums low. The facility allows local agencies to train locally without traveling out of town. Big shout out to the FGC Foundation, the Community Foundation of Suwannee Valley, Potash Corp and Avery Roberts.
Hurricane Season Starts Now
It feels like we just finished the 2016 hurricane season, and here we go again with a new season. Maybe that feeling is because many of us or our friends suffered storm damage last year. Nevertheless, it is time to think about protecting our homes. This week, two monster laurel oak trees were removed from our office property. They were deteriorating fast and needed to come down. We feel good that those trees will not put us at risk if the wind blows this year. Don’t forget to survey your property for potential wind dangers.
Customer Appreciation 2017
Customer Appreciation 2017
More than 100 customers came by our office Friday to enjoy grilled Nettles sausage and corn-in-the-husk with Cajun butter. The weather was perfect, and we all had a good time. In fact, we ran out of sausage and had to send Ed to the store for a resupply. If you missed us, we will do something fun in the fall. We are thinking about a peanut boil. If you would like to see something on our menu, let us know. We are open to all ideas fun. We appreciate our customers, and we enjoy serving our community.
Commending Lake City Reporter
We commend the Lake City Reporter for bringing to attention the Florida Legislature’s failure to enact Assignment of Benefits reform in today’s editorial. Homeowners will continue to pay more premiums than necessary because unethical attorneys and contractors are allowed to prey upon unsuspecting homeowners.
