Progressive’s SnapShot – better than expected
Last month, John installed Progressive’s SnapShot device into his pickup truck. After making the device “chirp” several time during the first few days of driving, John thought his chance for a discount was disappearing. After 30 days driving, though, John was surprised to learn he was eligible for a 17% discount. Call us 386-752-8660 if you would like to give SnapShot a try. You might be surprised too.
MetLife gives to Christmas Dream Machine
On his day off, MetLife Auto & Home marketing manager, Ed Brown, decided he needed to help kids. This morning, he got into his car and started driving to our office. Upon arrival at our office for his unannounced visit, he asked, “MetLife Auto & Home has some extra funds; how can we help a few kids today.” We immediately recommended Columbia County’s Christmas Dream Machine. For more than twenty years, MetLife Auto & Home has provided auto and home insurance to Columbia County residents through The Wheeler Agency. Thank you MetLife for your $300 donation to Christmas Dream Machine.

Time to change smoke detector batteries
The time changed Saturday night. We all moved our clocks back one hour, but did you change the batteries in your smoke detectors? Winter is the season of the year with the highest frequency of house fires. According to the Center for Disease Control, house fires claimed the lives of 2,640 people in 2010. Smoke inhalation, not burns, is the number one cause of fire related death. The simple solution to this tragic statistic is properly working smoke detectors.
